Getting started with us is just a few minutes away. Below are some helpful tips about our service.
- All requests can be emailed, faxed or called in to us. We also access many customer's priopritary websites to both receive and send searches. Regardless of the method of transmission we will recieve your request electronically via our wireless connection while we are sitting at the courthourse.
- Since we are wirelessly connected at the courthouse, searches will be processed right away and results are often returned within just a few minutes of receipt.
- Circuit Clerk searches (criminal, civil and traffic) and indexed by name. Please provide a middle inital, DOB and SSN when possible so that we may efficiently screen your search.
- Recorder of Deeds searches (UCC, tax lien, judgment lien and other property searches) are indexed by name. In more recent years they implemented indexing by pin and address, but the system is incomplete. The only reliable way to search is still by name, though pin and address searches sometimes allow us to find information we were not able to find in a name search alone.
- If you choose to email searches to us, please send your request to searches@lawyersresource.net. Faxed searches can be sent to 847-249-4005.
- Please send your first search on your letterhead with billing information provided. We normally invoice once or twice per month, depending upon volume. If you desire to invoice your customer immediately, please indicate that on your request and we will send you an estimate of charges.
- We DO NOT advance filing fees. We would be happy to maintain a petty cash fund for you and pay your filing fees out of that. You will receive an accounting of the fund monthly.
- We offer many ways to pay us.
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
- We email invoices through Quickbooks and in the email they will provide you with a link to securely pay your bill online.
- Or you may choose to put a credit card number on file with us and we will process your payments automatically and generate a receipt for your records.
- You may pay your invoice directly by sending a check to us. Invoices are due upon receipt unless other arrangements have been made.
